OTOH, I've been told by an ER technician that head injuries are more common and serious in auto accidents than in bike accidents -- anecdotal, one person's experience. Put all of this together as you will; I've drawn my own practical conclusions. And I am always open to new -- but statistical! -- evidence. I have a helmet hanging at home for the time that I am finally convinced it is needed.
