Hanging the bike on the saddle rails is always the way I've used that 
seatpost grabber.  For example, I will not use it if there is no saddle on 
the bike.  The upper bolt on the seatpost grabber kind of hits my B17s that 
leaves a little indent there, which I've chalked up to beausage.
