I was at the talk as well. Didn't go on the ride because I had errands to run (on bike of course). It looked like he had a good turnout for the ride as well as the talk.
The talk was kind of unpolished and rambling - which I liked. Some interesting things I found out was that Grant still does intervals. Very short intervals by his account, but intervals nonetheless. Also I got the impression that he really likes catching up to and passing lycra-clad riders while dressed like an unracer.
