Why the hell would anyone steal a kid's bike. That's just incredibly low.

If you're looking for a regular MTB type kid bike, I'm partial to
Specialized Hotrock bikes. They're pretty good. Not super heavy, plenty
sturdy, look cool. They have a 20" w/ a solid fork (also one w/ FS if you
want it). Looks like a good bike:

Their 24" model is really good as well when the time comes. Lots of low-use
used ones out there, priced around $150 (We have two!).
