Tilted. I had mustache bars on my old road bike, and have Soma Lauterwasser & 3-speed II bars on my single and three speed bikes respectively. I set all of them so that I have a natural wrist position when using the end-of-bar hand grips. My Romulus came to me with Nitto rando bars, and I find I like them fine, so I haven't swapped them for M-bars. Went to the mustache bars originally due to tendinitis in my hands, but that's cleared up (mostly), and I can deal with drops now.
