I am brokering the donation of two doggy bikes to poor members of our
church. One is an old, bottom-level Centurion -- to be used by very,
very smart 19 year old living on the Rez (his Anglo his mother teaches
Eng Lit in the pub school system on the Rez; he's a very nice guy when
he isn't toking -- not much else for a kid to do on the Rez); the
other is a gawdawful Big 5 cruiser bike that, nonetheless, may be
useful for an overweight mother. I'd just buy the stuff myself, but I
am myself pretty close at this point to needing charity myself.
(Hoping for some resume writing deals to materialize -- summer is
always slow. Glad I bought two custom Rivs when I was flush.)
Anyway, if anyone has any of these things and won't mind shipping them
to me at 87120, several people would be grateful. I can probably
manage postage if it comes to that.
Centurion:
Drop bars, 26.0 or 25.4, doesn't matter.
Saddle for Centurion -- plastic fine as long as it's sit-able.
Brake pads for caliper brakes.
Brake cable and housing.
Cruiser:
Tourist bar, 25.4, doesn't really matter what as long as it's not a
butterfly bar.
Grips for same.
Thanks.
Rode ~24 miles today, and even made it up the steep hill behind Don
Chalmers on the Green with load -- young buck passed me, continually
downshifting, and I couldn't bear to walk. Seriously, not too bad -- I
tried to ride slowly between my house and the hill.
