Being that I am a habitual bike leaner, I have grown accustomed to paint
chips and marks on all parts of my bike. However, I for some reason feel
guilty just leaning the Atlantis up against whatever I findt. So I decided
that i would invest in a pletscher double kickstand. Unfortunately I came
up against some mounting problems. My atlantis has no mounting plate. I
didnt think this would be an issue, as I would just wrap the stays and use
the plastic bit that coes with the kickstand. well, this apparently was
wrong. Is seem as though the stay distance between the bottom bracket and
the fender bridge isnt long enough to mount the kickstand without pinching,
or rubbing againd the front derraileur cable. So, my question is, "Am i
just out of luck in using this kickstand?". I amgine there are ways to
modify the top plate...but i dont want to hassle with this. Has anyone
else ran into this problem? If so , what was your solution? Is there a
different kickstand i should try?
