So I was looking for some hubs tonight, checking Universal Cycles as a start and they no longer have Shimano non-disc XT hubs. I checked the Shimano website and it doesn't appear they're making them. It appears LX hubs are still being made but they aren't listed on the Shimano website. Deore hubs are still available although they appear to be made only in black. That totally sucks. I've found XT hubs to be great and have them on most of my bikes.
Furthermore, Shimano appears to have streamlined their V-brakes. I guess as soon as road bikes are being made with disc brakes it'll be hard to find road calipers. It's not like this is the end of the world, there's plenty of options but I've found the XT hubs to be a great value. I'll definitely be looking to scoop up a set of LX hubs to put aside. --mike -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
