I love that for relatively cheaply ($10-$35) I can change out bar tape and not only change the look of my bikes I can change the feel too. I've tried the Newbaums and Soma tapes from Riv. I've got a couple rolls of their Japanese tape sitting on my parts shelf for future use. I've also tried a rubbery type tape with Bontrager branding. I haven't disliked any of the tapes I've tried, and I've kind of enjoyed their differences.
I think the next 2 on my list to pick up are Fizik Microtex and Lizardskins DSP. I would be interested to hear from anyone who's used either of these regarding if/how/why you liked them. Does anyone have a bar tape that they particularly love? In the spirit of elevating my bag-matcher status... has anyone tried to match bar tape to their green Sackville bags?
