Aha! I found my color. It was on a Bleriot repainted "Ticonderoga yellow". It took me a minute, then..ding! Ticonderoga is the pencil, of two-for-a-buck-from-Rivendell fame. So of course I'm going to buy a couple, drop them off to Rick with my frame, and say, "Make it like this, please."
