I suggest a hybrid of your routing and old, 3-speed cabling as shown here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/campyonlyguy/6204268602/in/set-72157627800936626/lightbox/
You'll need a cable stop for the top tube, a pulley for the seat tube, and a cable stop for the seatstay. All are available at Harris Cyclery and should cost you about $15. Much cleaner than all that housing. --Eric On Dec 19, 2011, at 4:42 PM, rex wrote: > hi all! > i was inspired by the front shifter quickbeam in the riv reader by james > warren, so i made mine a 10 speed. i bought a used araya 120mm 5sp freewheel > wheel and 14-28 freewheel and cabling for 40 bucks at the lbs. already had > the derailer and shifter. couldnt be happier. i imagine this is what an ahh > feels like. > anybody have any advice on cable routing? is it better to go on the downtube? > thanks for your time > joe kelly > > > > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "RBW Owners Bunch" group. > To view this discussion on the web visit > https://groups.google.com/d/msg/rbw-owners-bunch/-/OZZCeM_ZdC8J. > To post to this group, send email to rbw-owners-bunch@googlegroups.com. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > rbw-owners-bunch+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com. > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/rbw-owners-bunch?hl=en. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
