Yes, That is a 22t White industries Freewheel. I would have been SOL without it. When I hit the road at Rock City it was pretty smooth sailing up. with a little grinding here and there.
Rene Here is the Gear list: Up Front in the Basket and Bag -BigAgnes Seedhouse SL1 -Sweater -MUSA Pants -Wool Gloves -Beanie -Wool cap -Down Vest(pillow) and a change of undies -Camera/Tripod -Phone -Munchies In Back in the Medium Saddle Bag -Sleeping Bag -Esbit Stove, MSR cooking cup, Coffee,tea and MSR Coffee Filter -Bag of Snacks and Food -Tools, Tube etc... -ThermaRest Pad lashed to the back. -Buck 110 for Protection -Light -Lunch/dinner( I had another backpackers pantry dinner but it was way to windy to even heat up water) -Dehydrated granola w/milk for Bkfast(it was actually really good -A few other things that I didn't use I could have gone lighter, I didn't use everything I brought. better safe than sorry, I guess.
