Well, I do my lingering before the ride by drinking large amounts of coffee,
then I ride to a destination
like 'half a tuna sandwich from Robert's Market', or (holly molly) more coffee
at Peet's, then when I get
home I linger some more.

Perfect antidote for racy racer syndrome.

After years of club type fitness rides this approach has a certain appeal and
counters my tendency to 'train'.
