I prefer metal fenders. Aesthetics, full coverage, longevity, etc. However, I do have a pair of the Riv Approved™ SKS fenders that fit 650B. They've been sitting in my closet for a couple of years.
I'm currently in Paris for the month teaching a course, and brought along my Velo Cult démontable. A folder would probably have packed more simply for the city riding I'm doing thus far, but I hope to get out into the countryside the next couple of weekends. I threw in the SKS fenders at the last minute, and boy, I'm glad I did.
