i pedaled in clips for ten years or so, but was always fixed riding. when i made the move to geared bike i decided to try the grip king, cause i wear a variety of shoes and they seamed appealing. the grip king didn't seem so grippy to me, and on a lark i bought a set of super cheap plastic bmx platform pedals . i love them, and now have them on all of my bikes, though if i were to ride fixed again, i would use clips or grip kings.
