Thanks for the replies and education, quite helpful. Minh, here are some pictures I took midway through the ride - - showing the beginnings of a good dip in the saddle. The sag was 100% deeper by the end of the ride:

It is amazing how much the thing had sagged. Apparently, they come from the factory without much tension. I probably cranked three to four full turns on the adjustment bolt, and now it's almost fully level, and pretty comfortable. I am a long-time user of Brooks saddles, and for now I'm still of the opinion that the SA is more comfortable (for my idiosyncratic dimensions). I am as suprised as Jim that I have not tightened the one on the Roadeo. We have a 7 to 8 hour ride planned for Memorial Day, so I'll have more data thereafter.
