It would be fun to see what our starting point is for the suggestions. Do you have pictures or a build list? For example, if you currently have 800g tires and your current rims would take a <30mm tire, then I'm sure a lot of the suggesters would suggest just trying narrow tires and tubes and see where that gets you. If you have 40- spoke 650 gram rims, then many would encourage you to invest in a lighter wheelset, but if you already have 32-hole ~400g rims, then there's probably not a whole lot to be made up there.
