Well, I guess you have to figure in the cost of riding attire to go with the carbon. Shoes, jerseys, etc. Seems like it could add up fast. I, on the other hand (and I'm sure I'm not alone) can feel perfectly comfortable riding a steel bike in any old Versace pinstripe fitted suit from the latest collection.
