Hello all,

Seth wins the prize! Yes Mtn. Sports in Bristol, VA had this bike and
others as well. If you call them, ask for Steve, he's to be the bike
guy there.

Cost of painting the fork is not a factor unless it costs as much as
painting a whole bike, I don't think that'll be the case. I'm sure my
friend with the hotrod shop can do it at a reasonable price. I did
email JB for advice and he told me to be "rigidly flexible" in my
expectations of a good match. He says even the best painter using
different paint and equipment can not perfectly match the existing
frame paint. He suggested and I agree that chrome does not fit this
bike. Also he said to consider painting it the headtube cream color as
this would be an easier match, kinda like that idea. Also, whoever
does the job has to have the frame, I'm reluctant to ship it all over
the place. I'll start local and if that doesn't fly, JB is a half days
drive from me! This is a Toyo built and painted frame; the guys at
Riv. simply said, "painted at the factory with Japanese paint".

Thanks for the warm welcome and all your suggestions. My plan is to
build this as a comfy-fasty-roady not racy bike. I do have a Nitto
rear rack that may find it's way onto the bike. We don't get much rain
here so fenders are out. Also have Noodle bars, and Brooks: Swallow,
or an Swift or B17 Std to try, one of them will win the job as they
already have some mileage on 'em. The rest of the build ideas are
bouncing around my skull.
