Thanks everyone for the sympathy and ESPECIALLY for keeping a lookout. The bike was stolen from in front of a well lit street in the mission. I lock my bike with a small kryptonite u-lock. Part of me wonders if the bike was properly locked, since the broken lock was not at the scene. Stay vigilant with your bike and happy riding!
By the way, I'm planning on getting a Boxdog Pelican and hoping my Riv comes back into my life soon.
