FWIW...

When I was last talking to folks at Riv about a month ago, they
mentioned that they were still working out a better lug for the
diagonal joint; evidently the ones they have in hand, have
essentially been hand-built lugs (please don't quote me on that, that
may just be what I inferred, and not what was meant, only what I
understood). At that time they had about 5 other diaga-Bomba frames
at Waterford, that the tubes were all cut and all the other lugs in
place, etc., ready to go, just waiting on that last lug to be
finalized... he was being very cautious with delivery time estimates,
didn't want to say that a frame would be delivered really really soon,
that it'd be awhile before one would get delivered; didn't want me to
expect one to show up in a few weeks, was trying to be sure that I
wasn't disappointed by having to wait several months (my reply was,
it'll be worth whatever wait... it's not like I won't be ridin' the
Ram 'til it arrives....) SO.... I'm still awaitin'..... will give
me time to continue to gather parts, make final decisions on how I'm
going to build out some of the details, etc... It was actually really
interesting, they didn't think it would really take too long, but
being cautious, wouldn't suggest that it'd really be sooner (not
wanting to overpromise or underdeliver). Really nice to deal w/ a
company that cares that much.

A bit of a funny... I was referring to the diaga-Bomba as the "mixte
version of a Bomba", since it reminds me of a mixte with a top tube
added in... my suggestion is, don't refer to it as such, as it seemed
to cause confusion as to what I wanted; call it a diagonal-Bombadil,
and it'll be right; for a minute, they were wonderin' if what I was
wanting was a Bombadil-like mixte...

Color, pics, build details to come once it's here and progress is
underway....
