Rene, I've had good luck on tour with convertable pants (zip off legs) that have a built in mesh brief for off the bike wear. One pair of pants that pretty much does it all! Orvis are the nicest I found and I tried quite a few. Very light feel, nice, almost tailored fit, and comfortable.
