The tires are Maxxis true 25's. The clearances on this bike are horrible. I had it built custom in 1992 by Bill Davidson, and I didn't spec tire clearances. On regular short reach brakes, I have the pads adjusted almost all the way UP. If I wanted to make room for fenders on this bike, I'd have to run like 19mm tires or some other such nonsense. I have to content myself to leaving this as a fair weather ride.
Fret not, though. I have yet another secret project nearing reality. A project that addresses the opening in my stable for a lightish sporty 700C bike that takes a wider tire and full fenders. What could it be? Hint: It does not involve buying another bike. On Feb 21, 2:18 pm, Michael_S <mikeybi...@rocketmail.com> wrote: > Looks nice Bill. I've made a bunch of money the same way.
