Just to provide the caveat - gasoline is highly combustible.  It is
generally not recommended to be used for cleaning applications - especially
in enclosed areas where fumes can be ignited by sparks or electrical
connections (water heaters in garages are particularly adept at this).

Kerosene would be better in this application. It does not combust the way
gasoline does.

This crops up periodically on the various lists, and I know folks who do this. Just want to remind everyone that gasoline is seriously combustible in both liquid and gaseous form. (Probably frozen too.. but I've never seen
that...)
