The 44.45mm that Riv shows is for that specific rim. Also, we don't
know the if that measurement is new, or a well broken in tire, as they
they do get wider as opposed to brand new.

3mm each side is really close. I've seen some do it of course. Make
sure you have really well built wheels that stay true and don't break
spokes!

Too bad there isn't much between 50's and 42'sin tries. I'm using some
Kenda Kwick Roller EZ 700x45 tires that measure 43mm on A719 rim, and
they are fantastic. Nashbar sold them, but I think they are out of the
45's. Someone may have some though. They are as good as a Marathon
Supreme, at fraction of the cost.
