Hi Rob, I have GKs on my porteur/commuter/rain bike. I added the spikes/studs that Riv sells. Probably a good idea for wet weather. Probably also depends on the shoes you are using. During the winter, I commute with some Lowa hiking boots that have a really effective gore-tex liner. My feet stay very comfortable all winter.
