If you haven't already done so, I would go through the 650B site. You want to take a look at the clearances of the frame, particularly near the chainstays to determine tire clearances. Also, you should take a look at the bb drop to see where you'll end up. BB-to-ground is dependant upon the height of the tires. http://www.freewebs.com/650b/index.htm Also, there is a 650B-specific list hosted via bikelist.org. You may find someone has converted your specific frame. http://phred.org/mailman/listinfo/650b I like my conversion project. It's kinda pound-dog ugly in a way I like. I like the stability of the 650B's in wet weather. I've never ridden this bike with its original tire size, so I don't have a comparison. The BB is as low as I would ever want to go. http://home.comcast.net/~cyclofiend/bikes/Project_zeus650b.html hope that helps a bit, - Jim -- Jim Edgar cyclofi...@earthlink.net Cyclofiend Bicycle Photo Galleries - http://www.cyclofiend.com Current Classics - Cross Bikes Singlespeed - Working Bikes Gallery updates now appear here - http://cyclofiend.blogspot.com "The bike between her legs was like some hyper-evolved alien tail she'd somehow extruded, as though over patient centuries; a sweet and intricate bone-machine, grown Lexan-armored tires, near-frictionless bearings, and gas filled shocks."
