Thanks for the responses everyone. Certainly reassuring. I do hope to ride it for the next 25 years. I'll probably go ahead and frame saver it, touch up the paint, and put it back together.
Also, an update about getting touch up paint from Waterford - I sent them my serial number and it turns out that my frame was built by them in Nov 06, but wasn't painted by them, but from what I could conclude the more recent frames made by them for Rivendell are also painted by them, so touch up paint would be available.
