While by no means an expert, I've used the Marmot Aura 2P tent and the Marmot Aeros 3P tent in my two S24Os this year. 2 people and 3 people respectively, which means that to an extent, weight can be distributed among riders. Unless you are going with a 1 person tent and are focused solely on the weight, the comfort of the extra space and the vertical walled design of the Marmot Aura 2P are worth the 5 lbs and lower price IMHO.
Then again, if weight is of paramount value (and should it be in this forum?) and you're camping where trees are present, why not consider a hammock with its rain fly instead? I've been eyeing them, but so far just from a distance. They'll be the lightest and lest volume option you can get provided you can hang them where you're going.
