I don't want to get into a fight with all of the dyno hub fans, but i think for your application - 10 mile rides - they may be overkill. There are cheaper solutions, that will meet your needs. I commute (15 miles each way) with Dinotte lights. I started out with the AA model, which worked fine, and then upgraded to the LI battery model, when they offered an upgrade sale. I ride dark rural roads and find this provides me plenty of light on familiar roads up to 25 mph. This solution is both cheaper and lighter than then a new dyno hub. Most of the summer my light sits at home, plugged in and waiting. This time of year it goes into my Acorn rondeneur bag and gets mounted to a bar in front of my Mark's rack. I have a couple of bikes and they all use the same lights. This works great for me.
