I have run the Wipperman 908 of quite a few years. This is nickel coated, not ss, but it it outperforms, outlasts, resists rust much better than any other chain I have ever used - shimano, sram, & ird. I think it would be a great choice in seattle. I've never used the ss chain, that's a whole nother jump in price.
