The gray is the bead blasted finish. Nice, but kind of contrasty with the polished or black rings. Functionally the same though, I have sets of both
I have been tempted by the 177.5 since they were listed. The price is a little high for my blood. If somebody here gets them, and decides they are a little too long I will trade for silver or bead blasted 175..
