Yeah, both of mine are that grey color. It's very matte. The Sugino branded model that was equivalent was the Mighty 9000. It came stock on my Kona Kula in 1994 or 1995. That was a beautiful crankset. I wish I could get another set of those.
I absolutely expect the White and the TA to be as good or better. The proprietary big ring of the White makes me nervous and the jewelry store finish and price of the TA is a bit out of my league as well. I'll get there eventually, I imagine.
