I am using the Alpina-d as a braze-on, without the clamp. But, I am familiar with this issue. I'll have to take a photo for your but I have the cable sort of arcing over the side of the silver cage before it reaches the bolt. Do you have a photo of your cable-anchor? Perhaps I can see if I've anchored my cable the same way.
