Thinking it was a mix of 'acclimation' [yep, you got 'er right... was running 26x1.25 @100psi on my custom before I retired her] and just plain 'new everything' syndrome [the bike, the build, the setup, all of it, and more].
Really liking the Nif-Swif's @75 f/r these days. I am 164 pounds. You nailed it though: hard skinny tire syndrome for certain.
