I recall a previous discussion about the IRD Phil Wood hub. If I remember correctly, the IRD-specific hub is set-up to create less dish when used with an IRD freewheel. I do not believe it is an issue of strict compatibility or thread pitch. Phil's service is extremely helpful and responsive. Just give them a call.
