I had my eye on the Tubus Taras, but according to Wayne at TheTouringStoredotcom, they fit forks with a 6 1/2" distance between mid-fork and dropout braze-ons. The distance on the Sam Hill is just shy of 9".
Can anyone recommend a sturdy lowrider front for a fork like this? Second question: Am I correct in thinking that, for front panniers, nothing else beats Ortlieb?
