FWIW, the Rivendell installed (and that is important, since I myself have never been able to get cantis to work optimally -- gad, creeping bus. speak brain rot! -- with drop bar levers) Tektro wide cantis work better than any brakes I've used, now, before and (I suppose) will use, and that includes V brakes. And they do work with a Gnashbar front rack.
