I have no personal experience with Ergo, but on the forums there's been
much discussion over the years regarding the shape of the shifters.
Each time there's a change they all chime in about how wonderful the new
shape is, so much better than last year's, and the next time there's a
change the new will be so much better and last year's former revelation
will now be the horrible old crap.  So I strongly suggest you try the
feel of the levers before you commit.
