While not exactly apples to apples, fitting a 700c bike with Big Apples (so perhaps Apples to Hetres ;) is what what finally prompted me to order a 650b. On the one hand, the plush ride with those tires was a huge eye opener. On the other, it felt like I was riding one of those street lamp lighter bikes. 650b seems a great size for average height (and slightly above, I am just under 6') people who want wide tires. Now if only Schwalbe would come out with a 650b Big Apple.
