Like others have said...get an old one. I bought an old NOS B-17 (mid 70's) a couple years back and it is noticably stiffer than the newer versions. Rock hard but still has that shape of the b-17 that adapts to the arse instantly...if you are one of those peoples whose arse is adaptable to the b-17 (does that make any sense?). Or, get a Pro. I've had several, and sold just as many because they are rock hard. I guess they break in after awhile (or the arse adjusts), but I don't have the patience...although I do have a new (old) one on a bike I haven't ridden yet...will report back in a year.
