Although a pair of pants (or maybe knickers) sound appealing, I don't
expect to buy the new ones.

I own an earlier generation of the grey/blue pants, with Velcro leg straps.
The material is fine, for what it is. My two primary beefs are the elastic
belt and the silly-low rise, which combine to produce visible buttcrack
while riding, or at least visible underpants. It's meant that I hardly ever
wear them on a bike at all, as I do not wish to impose that scenery on
riders behind me.

As I recall, the rise is low by design, because Grant doesn't like loose
fabric on his butt. I do, especially if it means that the waistband stays
covered by my shirt/jersey/sweater/jacket. Perhaps it's the difference
between riding drop bars and uprights, which I'm not going to do

As with other Rivendell products, Grant designs products that work for
Grant. If what works for Grant doesn't work for you, you're going to have
to go elsewhere.

who gets exposed buttcrack with MUSA pants+Nitto Technomic+Noodles, so
either Grant's beta-testing is not comprehensive or he doesn't care about
buttcrack exposure
