Leah: I second what RichS said about pool noodles as frame-tube cushions. While pipe insulation works well, hollow pool noodles are even better because they're slightly more firm and also thicker than pipe insulation. Can be used many times. They cost more than pipe insulation, but bikes are worth it, right?
