Mark C, I consider the Appaloosa, Gus (not Susie) and Clem to all be in the same general "pretty stout" category. If you want a long-stay bike which you can load up and bash over bump and root, I say pick your color and lug/TIG/fillet preference and go have some fun. They're quite different from those Rambouillets and worth trying out, IMO.
