I think it's likely because they're sold on the double top tube thing for 
larger sizes, and thus recommend one of the other models for the tall rider...

It doesn't make any sense to me, but Rivendell won't let Waterford
make the large sizes.  Rivendell also wouldn't take orders for the
large sizes when they announced there was going to be a last chance to
order Toyo built frames.   I wonder if there were too many issues with
the large frames?
