Christmas will be here before we know it. I wanted to get my wife a new bike as a present. She’s not really in love with her Surly trucker I built for her 5 years ago.
She would like a step through and when I showed her a picture of an old Betty Foy, she loved it. Mainly the name! 🤪 I was unsuccessful in locating a Betty. So I am thinking of buying a Cheviot from Riv and putting “Betty Foy” stickers on it. Problem is, the Cheviot stickers are under the clear coat. So my options are: $350 to repaint (2 tone) and have Riv put Betty stickers on. Although she already likes the dark sage paint (and Riv has that color in her size in stock) and it would be a shame to strip a beautiful paint job. Or get Betty stickers made (3rd party) and put it right over the Cheviot decals. Then I’d paint all the heart lugs red to complete the look. I just don’t know if plastering a big sheet of vinyl over the frame will look.....off.
