Here I feel I'm being beaten over the head with statistics. 40,000 people die in their cars every year, countless others are injured. Will you be giving up your car? Not letting your kid learn to drive? Almost 6000 pedestrians were killed by cars in 2015. Should all pedestrians wear full body armor?
Why is it that the greater the percentage of traffic that is by bike in a particular place, the less likely it is people will be wearing helmets? Since it's not currently a law in most places for adults to wear one, why do people feel the need or the right to tell others what to do, or to make moral judgements? Just curious.
