The blue run of Rams was the only one to offer 50 and 52 cm frames.  They have 
26" wheels (559 BSD) to preseve a better geometry. They cannot be upsized to 
650B or 700 due to lack of space under brake bridge. They take up to 1 1/2" 
wide tires without fenders and 32mm tires with fenders.  You could take a 54 cm 
and downsize its wheels to 650B or 559 with a change of brakes but I suspect 
the handling would suffer at 559.(I tried 559s on Ed Braley's 650B converted 53 
cm, 700 orig design, Nashbar. It works but handles poorly)  A 54 was made for 
700 wheels.
