So Frank (on his Surly LHT) and I (on my '95 Riv Road) were taking a 50 ish
mile route that I had mapped out some months back for the local club. On a past
group ride, we made an in course adjustment, because one of the county roads,
leading to some nice lake views, turned out to be coarse stones and red clay.
Today, it was just the two of us, and Frank said, "Wanna go explore that dirt
road? We have the tires." He was (is this the "in" word?) rocking (I can't keep
"curating" or "palping" straight either) Bontrager Invert 35s and I had Maxy
Fasty 33.4s. Both were peachy keen on backroads rough rider stuff. It's nice to
have bikes that basically can go anywhere and do anything that the legs of the
operator can push it to.

Tailwinds..
