I did it last year on my Clem and it was a blast! I thought they did a really good job keeping everyone from bunching up too much. With exception to the start, which is more or less unavoidable, there really wasn't any. Give yourself some room on descents, that's where we saw the most collisions/errant riding.
We regretted not stopping for a coffee or two along the route and people/bike watching....try it out! A very cool and memorable experience.
